(Estherville)– An informational open house event for a proposed project on Highway 9 through Estherville will be held this (Tues., April 28th) evening. It will be taking place from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the SERT building at the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
As we reported previously, the project will extend from the Des Moines River Bridge to the eastern edge of Estherville at the Brown Creek Bridge, and will be done in phases over several years beginning in the spring of 2028. Plans call for the existing pavement to be replaced, along with replacement of city-owned sanitary sewer and water mains.
This evening’s (Tues. 4/28) event will be held in a come-and-go format with no formal presentation. D.O.T staff will be on hand, however, to answer questions and provide information.
