(Spirit Lake)– The Okoboji-Spirit Lake Good Neighbor Fund has distributed 72,645-dollars to 13 local charities to assist with their operations during the current year.
All 13 charities have received the amounts of financial support they had requested.
The agencies and the amount they will receive follows: Iowa Great Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross will get 10,258-dollars; 12,095-dollars will go to Camp Foster; The Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault will receive 5,373-dollars; 5,213-dollars goes to Discovery House; Echo Plus will receive 4,788-dollars; 1,377-dollars was awarded to the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa; Kinship will receive 4,646-dollars; Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will receive 4,573-dollars each; Shepherd’s Fold Ministries was awarded 4,202-dollars; Timeout Nursery will receive 3,626-dollars; Upper Des Moines Opportunity will get 4,232-dollars; and the Voluntary Action Center of Dickinson County will get 7,688-dollars.
