(Emmetsburg)– A man was injured in a tubing accident last Sunday on Lost Island Lake in Palo Alto county.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says 22-year-old Chance Hoskinson of Glidden, Iowa was knocked unconscious when the inner tube he was riding jumped the boat wake…sending him airborne. Hoskinson landed face-first on the knee of fellow tuber Tony Knute of Ralston, Iowa.
Hoskinson was taken to Spencer Hospital where he later regained consciousness. He was held overnight for observation.
No injuries were reported to Knute and no damage was reported to the boat.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources was assisted on the scene by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
The mishap took place around 5:20 p.m.
