(Gillett Grove)– A Gillett Grove couple was arrested over the weekend on drug charges after a search of their home turned up some pot.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies executed a search warrant Saturday at the John and Trisha Quail residence at 409 Third Street in Gillett Grove.
Authorities say the search turned up about a quarter of-a-pound of marijuana which was in the process of being packaged into smaller quantities for distribution. Deputies also seized packaging materials, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
John and Trisha Quail were both arrested and taken to the Clay county jail. Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…with intent to deliver; failure to affix a drug tax stamp; two counts of child endangerment; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
In addition, authorities say John Quail was wanted on two outstanding warrants from Clay county. John Quail is being held on bond of 33,703-dollars while Trisha Quail was held on 32,825-dollars bond.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and authorities say more arrests are possible.
