(Graettinger)– Marshall Lewis, the joint superintendent of the Graettinger-Terril and Ruthven-Ayrshire School Districts, has been placed on administrative leave. It’s the result of action the two school boards took in a joint session Thursday evening. No reason was immediately given for the action and school officials aren’t commenting.
It comes amid revelations of financial disparities in sharing agreements stemming back to 2022. The boards voted June 9th to hire a firm to conduct a probe into the discrepancies. They were scheduled to review the findings of the report at a meeting earlier this month which was abruptly canceled after it was learned the audit reportedly hadn’t been completed yet.
Patrons of the districts have expressed concern and frustration over the situation and are calling for better transparency from school officials.
