(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce continues to raise funds for the annual 4th of July Fireworks Display on West Lake Okoboji. Chamber CEO Blain Andera says it’s getting to be crunch time. He says they’ve made it real easy to donate…
“The easiest way is to just go over to okobojichamber.com. Click on the events and fireworks tab and you can donate right online there with a card. We also take checks if you want to send a check to P.O. Box 9, Arnolds Park, Iowa, we’d appreciate that. Anybody who donates or any business or individual who donates $250 or more will get mentioned in the thank you at the KUOO patriotic music montage before the fireworks, so we’re excited about that. And then we also have all of the online presence that we promote our sponsors and donors and also the Lakes News Shopper ad this year, so. Super excited about that. Also, the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber has started a foundation, so checks can be made out to Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber Foundation. They’re tax deductible as a charitable donation.”
You can also donate redeemable cans and bottles at several drop-offs in the area…
“If you’re interested in donating your nickels to the chamber for the fireworks show they’re located at consumers in Spirit Lake; we have one outside of our office at the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and then at the former Outdoor Oak Hill location in Milford.”
We might also point out the 4th is now less than two weeks away.
