(Undated)– Forecasters with the National Weather Service say we’ll need to be weather aware as we head into the weekend and early next week. They say a good deal of the region will be under the threat for severe weather beginning Saturday and continuing into Monday.
Forecasters say large hail, damaging wind and even tornadoes will be possible, with the threat most prevalent in the evening and overnight hours. They say that emphasizes the importance of having multiple ways of getting warnings, and something that will alert you if severe weather threatens in the middle of the night.
The National Weather Service says the severe weather threat and the heat we are currently experiencing will be replaced with below normal temperatures again by the middle of next week with high temperatures dropping back into the 50’s and 60’s and overnight lows once again going down into the 30’s.
