E’Ville Search Warrants Land Two In Jail On Drug Charges

(Estherville)– The execution of two search warrants on homes in Estherville has landed two people in jail on drug charges.

Estherville police say the first search at 320 South Ninth Street resulted in the arrest of 18-year-old Manuel Acosta. Acosta was charged with delivery of cocaine, a class “C” felony; and possession of marijuana…a serious misdemeanor. He was booked into the Emmet county jail.

The other search warrant was executed at 935 North Fourth Street in Estherville. It resulted in the arrest of 41-year-old Juan Lopez who was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver; delivery of marijuana; two drug tax stamp violations and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lopez was booked into the Emmet county jail pending an initial court appearance.

Estherville Police were assisted by the Emmet County Attorneys office and several citizens.
