Early Morning Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A Spencer woman faces drug charges following a traffic stop early Thursday in Spencer.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation around 3:00 a.m.

A consent search resulted in authorities finding what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia and a small amount of a controlled substance in a purse, along with some prescription drugs.

A passenger in the vehicle, 19-year-old Chelsee Muckey of Spencer, was arrested and booked into the Clay county jail on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle may also face charges pending test results from the DCI Crime Lab.
