Dickens Man Found Passed Out With Loaded Gun

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A Dickens man is in trouble after allegedly driving drunk with a loaded handgun in his vehicle.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call Sunday about a parked pickup partially on the roadway at the intersection of M-50 and 340th Street, just east of Spencer.

A deputy found the driver, 23-year-old Nathan Rosacker of Dickens, passed out in the drivers seat with the vehicle running.

During the course of a brief investigation, the deputy determined Rosacker was intoxicated but had a loaded handed on the floorboard of the truck.

Rosacker was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense and carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle.

He was placed in the Clay county jail to await his initial appearance in court.
