(Milford)– A head-on crash two miles west of Milford late Friday afternoon sent three people to the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol says a 1999 Ford mini0van driven by 30-year-old Heather Frink of Spencer collided with a pick-up driven by 74-year-old Leverne Eckman of Brandon, South Dakota. Frink was westbound on A-34 and failed to yield while attempting to turn south onto 193rd Avenue.
Frink and her 10-year-old son were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake. Eckman was transported to the Spencer Hospital. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening. All three people were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Both vehicles sustained several thousand dollars in damage.
There’s no word yet if charges will be filed. It remains under investigation.
The crash took place shortly after 5:00 p.m. Friday.
