(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has released details of a single-vehicle accident that took place Thursday south of Spencer.
Authorities say it happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 71 and 400th Street.
68-year-old Patricia Schnell of Milford was northbound on Highway 71 when she lost control and went into the east ditch. The vehicle continued through the ditch and struck an embankment.
Schnell and an unnamed female passenger were taken to Spencer Hospital with unknown injuries.
The Royal Fire Department and Spencer Hospital ambulance crew assisted on the scene.
