Crash S.E. Of Spirit Lake Sends Two To Hospital

(Spirit Lake)– A single vehicle mishap this (Tues.) morning southeast of Spirit Lake sent two people to the hospital.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 35-year-old Sharrie Semadeni of Spirit Lake was driving a 2001 Dodge mini-van on County Road M-56 near Elinor Bedell State Park when she failed to negotiate a curve on the frost-covered road. The vehicle went into the ditch where it flipped once, landing on its wheels.

Semadeni and a passenger, five-year-old Catie Semadeni also of Spirit Lake, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. Their injuries weren’t believed to be serious.

2,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.

The mishap took place around 8:30 a.m.
