Corridor Recognizes Businesses And Entrepreneurs (1)

(Spencer)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation spent some time this (Wed.) afternoon recognizing several area businesses and entrepreneurs during its annual business recognition luncheon at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. Hundreds of business people from throughout the corridor’s four-county service area turned out for the event…(click here for comment.)

Special recognition was also given to the winner of this year’s “Dream Big Grow Here” competition that involves local entrepreneurs. Of the 15 companies involved in this year’s local competition, the winner of the $5,000 grand prize was Dari Dingel Fehr of Terril…(click here for comment.)

Fehr now advances to a statewide competition next spring where a $10,000 grand prize will be on the line.

Luann and Bruce Tamisea of Tecton Industries were recognized as Entrepreneur Of The Year.

John Tatman accepted the award for large business of the year on behalf of Maur Manufacturing.

Kevin VugteveenĀ of Vugteveen’s Lawn Service accepts the award for Small Business Of The Year.
