(Spirit Lake)– A Rembrandt, Iowa man is in the Dickinson County Jail, charged with 1st degree theft. 46-year-old Jay Lockwood was arrested Monday on a warrant.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Spirit Lake Police Department, it stems from the fall of 2024 when a Spirit Lake homeowner contracted with Lockwood to perform $15,700 in residential work. The complaint alleges Lockwood didn’t complete the work and that he refused to reimburse the victim.
He’s being held in the Dickinson county jail on a $10,000 bond.
