(Fairmont, Mn.)– A Michigan man was seriously injured Saturday when a motorcycle he was driving collided with a deer on Interstate 90 in Martin county.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 49-year-old Steven Walker of Brighton, Michigan was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound when he collided with the animal at mile marker 107.
Walker was taken by ambulance to a Fairmont hospital and was airlifted to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
There was no immediate word on the extent or nature of his injuries.
The mishap took place shortly after 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
