The Clay County sheriff’s department says an 80 year old Milford man involved in a one vehicle accident in Fostoria over the weekend was treated for minor cuts and bruises at Spencer Hospital and released. Authorities say Delbert Christopherson was Northbound on highway 71 when he went through the ditch, into a lawn, and struck a tree about 20 feet from a private residence. That crash changed the direction of the vehicle, which struck 4 more trees and came to rest in some dogwood bushes. There was 2 thousand dollars damage done to Christopherson’s 1984 Chrysler and 11 hundred dollars done to the lawn. No charges were filed. The officers say the mishap was caused by a medical condition.

The Clay county sheriff’s office is asking for information about a morning break-in and robbery in Gillet Grove. Autorities say it appears someone broke the front window at R&B Wheel-In Service and stole several hundred dollars from inside.
