Clay County Man Sentenced On Federal Meth Charge

(Sioux City)– A gillett Grove man has been sentenced on a meth charge in U-S District Court in Sioux City.

45-year-old Gary Burger pleaded guilty October 3rd of last year to conspiracy to manufacture more than five grams of pure methamphetamine. Burger admitted that between April 2001 and Octer, 2002, he participated in atleast five methamphetamine cooks. He provided precursors consistig of pseudoephedrine pills and lithium batteries and helped steal some ahydrous ammonia.

Judge Linda Read sentenced Burger to 63 months imprisonment along with four years of supervised release following the jail term.
