(Spencer)– A traffic stop Sunday resulted in drug charges being filed against two Spencer teens.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Nathan Franklin of Spencer who was cited for driving with a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities say the latter charge is the result of a search of Franklin’s person that turned up items alleged to be drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Clay county jail.
A passenger in the vehicle, a 14-year-old female juvenile from Spencer, was found to be in possession of tobacco and multiple items of what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia. She was arrested and taken to the Clay county jail. She was cited for possession of tobacco under the legal age and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was then released to the custody of a parent.
