(Storm Lake)– Rosemary Shaw Sackett…Chief Judge of the Iowa Court of Appeals…will deliver the commencement address this May at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake.
A 1960 resident of Buena Vista and a resident of Okoboji, Sackett was appointed to the Court of Appeals in 1983 and elected Chief Judge in 1999. During her career on the court, Sackett has written 24-hundred majority opinions.
Buena Vista President Fred Moore says they’re extremely pleased to have Judge Sackett giving this year’s commencement address.
The university’s graduation is on May 21st.
