Ayrshire Man Charged In Stolen Vehicle Parts Case

November 22, 2014

(Emmetsburg)– An Ayrshire man has been charged with theft in connection with some parts that were allegedly stolen from one vehicle and placed on another.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Joshua Fay of Ayrshire was arrested today (Tues.) on a warrant charging him with fourth degree theft…a serious misdemeanor. Sheriff Dennis Goeders says it stems from a complaint his office received on March 18th of a theft of motor vehicle parts from a resident in the Ruthven area. A hood and trunk lid were stolen from a 1986 Monte Carlo and taken to the Whittemore area where they were repainted and put on another car.

Fay was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
