(Arnolds Park)– 13 proposed projects in the Iowa Great Lakes Area are vying for funding in the upcoming round of grants to be awarded by the Dickinson County Water Quality Commission.
The deadline for applying for funding in the latest round of grants was October 3rd.
The 13 applications total 487-thousand dollars. The commission has 200-thousand available.
The Water Quality Commission will meet at 5:00 p.m. this coming Monday for its initial review of the applications. The commission has until the first part of December to award proposals.
The Water Quality Commission was established by a 28E agreement between the cities and county to create a local match for state and federal water quality funds.
