Restructuring Underway At Indian Motorcycle

October 30, 2026

(Spirit Lake)– A restructuring at Indian Motorcycle has resulted in a reduction of about 70 jobs. Company officials say It follows a seven-month internal review to remove staffing overlap, redundancies and structural complexities.

The company adds the reductions are being offset with up to 60 new manufacturing jobs opening at the plant in Spirit Lake. Indian Motorcycle says those positions will support expanded engine and paint operations that have been brought to Spirit Lake.

In addition, the company is filling up to 10 administrative and finance roles to replace functions previously managed by former parent company Polaris.

Industry officials say it’s part of Indian Motorcycle’s transition into a fully independent standalone company following its acquisition by private equity firm Carolwood LP from Polaris Industries.
