(Terril)– There’s a full slate of city leaders once again in Terril.
The city council Wednesday evening appointed Mark Lair to fill out the remaining term of Mayor. The seat was left vacant following the recent resignation of Julie Thiessen. Lair is a former member of the Terril City Council and owns some businesses in town.
In addition, Greg Valentine was appointed to fill a vacancy on the city council created with the recent resignation of Amy Ness. Valentine, who had also expressed interest in the Mayoral vacancy, says addressing issues surrounding the city’s drinking water concerns is among his priorities.
