(Wallingford)– An annual fundraising event for the Wallingford Fire Department is coming up this weekend. Fire Chief Jarrod Fischer says it’ll be going on this Saturday, June 20th, from 4:45 until 7:00 pm at the fire station…
“We’re going to be grilling ribeye steak sandwiches. We’ll have hamburgers and hotdogs. The meals include a homemade potato salad, homemade baked beans, homemade assorted pies, potato chips and a beverage. We’ll be serving from 4:45 until 7:00 at the fire department. One thing new we have this year is the to goes are going to be in the community center, so kind of kept that separate so people don’t have to wait in line. You can go in, go out and not have to wait. We’re working on raffle prizes, those will be available at the door, you don’t need to be present to win on those. This year, proceeds will be going toward fire suppression equipment and rescue equipment for the fire department.”
Tickets will be on sale Saturday at the door.
