Arnolds Park City Council Adopts Zoning Ordinance Revisions

June 12, 2026

(Arnolds Park)– Some revised zoning ordinances are going into the books in Arnolds Park. The City Council Wednesday adopted the changes following a public hearing.

One pertains to accessory dwelling units, or ADU’s, to make those regulations comply with a new state law which says they must be allowed, but still must meet setbacks. City Clerk Linda Nase says most lots in Arnolds Park are already built to the maximum, leaving no room for an ADU.

Another sets minimum requirements for residential structures at 800 square feet per unit.

Nase says the other revisions pertain to the Amusement Park District setting height restrictions on rides. She says the changes were proposed after consulting with Arnolds Park CEO Jon Pausley…

Nase says some additional revisions are being included as well for the Amusement Park District, including a fall down radius…

There were no verbal or written comments in opposition to any of the changes during Wednesday’s public hearing.
