Risefest Kicks Off Friday (June 12th) In Sheldon

June 08, 2026

(Sheldon)– RiseFest 2026 kicks off later this week, with thousands expected to gather in Sheldon for the annual two-day Christian music festival on Friday, June 12th, and Saturday, June 13th.

This year’s lineup features artists including Phil Wickham, Hulvey, Katy Nichole, Ben Fuller, Josiah Queen, Terrian, Warren Peay, and more, along with worship teams from Dordt University and Northwestern College.

Rise Ministries Founder and CEO Rob Roozeboom says preparations are now in the final stages as staff and hundreds of volunteers work behind the scenes to get the grounds ready. Roozeboom says volunteer positions are filled annually by people from across the region and beyond…

“We have no idea where all the volunteers are coming from. When you get nearly 800 to 850 slots filled, it’s pretty amazing.”

Roozeboom says the ministry’s mission remains the central focus of the event…

“At the end of the day the festival is about presenting the gospel. It’s about pointing people to Jesus, inviting them into a relationship. We want to worship together, we want to laugh together, we want to have fun together, but at the end of the day it’s how do we use those hours with the artists that are coming to point you to Jesus?”

Rise Ministries issued a scam alert last week, warning attendees to only purchase tickets through the official RiseFest website or the festival’s Eventbrite ticket page. Organizers say scammers are targeting potential ticket buyers through resale sites and third-party sellers.
