(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair is offering a new division this year in its Photography Department.
Fair officials say the new division will document landmarks, architecture, events and community spirit that have helped shape Spencer’s history and is being offered in conjunction with the nation’s 250th anniversary.
They add the 250th anniversary theme is also being carried over in many of the sponsored divisions in the Photography Department, encouraging photographers to capture the people, places, traditions and moments reflecting the American spirit.
In addition, several divisions will feature unique themes including “Helping our Wildlife” in the Conservation Division and “Streetscapes” in the Film Division.
More information is available in the 2026 Exhibitor Handbook which can be found online at the Clay County Fair website or may be picked up at the Fair Administrative Office.
