(Spencer)– A Laurens man has been arrested on charges stemming from a robbery that occurred on January 2nd of this year at a Spencer convenience store.
The Spencer Police Department says 35-year-old Daniel Douglas of Laurens was arrested Friday by the Pocahontas Police Department. Authorities say Douglas was wanted in connection with the incident at the Brew Convenience Store at 1001 South Grand Avenue. Douglas is accused of entering the store a little before 10:00 pm that night wearing a face covering and allegedly took some money from behind the counter. He also allegedly assaulted an employee who confronted him and then fled the scene.
Douglas was charged with robbery in the 2nd degree..a class “C” felony, and is being held in the Clay County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
