(Emmetsburg)– An Emmetsburg man has been convicted on eight counts of child sexual abuse in the second degree. A Palo Alto county jury returned the verdict against Aaron Manz last week following a six-day trial and three hours of deliberations.
Manz faces 25 years in prison when he’s sentenced April 3rd. He must serve 70 percent of the term before being eligible for parole. The sentences can run consecutively or concurrently.
Manz was arrested on February 11th, 2025, following an investigation by the Emmetsburg Police Department and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation.
The Iowa Attorney General’s Office and the Palo Alto County Attorney’s Office jointly prosecuted the case.
