ILCC Holds Press Conference On Wednesday’s Tragic Bus Crash Involving The College’s Baseball Team

(Twin Lakes)– Iowa Lakes Community College this (Thursday) afternoon held a press conference on the heels of Wednesday’s fatal bus crash in Calhoun county. The bus was carrying members of the college’s baseball team. As we reported earlier, the person who died in the crash has been identified as 19-year-old Carter Johnson of Rapid City, South Dakota. He was among 33 people on the bus when it left the road and rolled multiple times.

32 others on the bus, including the driver, were injured, some seriously. They were transported to area hospitals, some by air. Trooper Smidt said this (Thurs.) afternoon they continue to recover…

Larson announced a decision on what the rest of the season holds for ILCC’s baseball program will be made in the next week or two…

The team was traveling to Arkansas for games at North Arkansas College in Harrison, Arkansas.
