(Estherville)– Fundraising for the Estherville-Lincoln Central Stadium Complex project is getting a boost. The city of Estherville is contributing $50,000 toward the project. City Administrator Peggy Clayton says some of that money had been earmarked previously for another project for the school…
“We’ll take $45,000 from the fund that we had previously established for potential fine arts facility concept back when that was a discussion for the school system. Since that time they have approved the Little Theatre at their own cost, and then we’ll take the remaining $5,000 from our Special Projects Account that’s part of our Local Option Sales Tax, 60 percent that’s designated for community improvement.”
The council unanimously approved the contribution last week.
A little more than $368,462 had been raised for the ELC stadium project as of early last week.
