(Undated)– Disaster Case Advocacy Outreach Coordinators next week will begin visiting neighborhoods in several northwest Iowa counties affected by the June, 2024 floods. Coordinators will visit Clay, O’Brien and Sioux counties beginning Wednesday, July 23rd. The canvassing is expected to last three to four weeks.
DCA coordinators will wear neon-colored vests and branded Tetra Tech t-shirts. They will also carry ID and will be working in pairs.
Coordinators can help connect survivors with unmet needs with the Disaster Case Advocacy Program. They can assist with navigating FEMA, insurance, SBA and other processes along with applying for programs and assistance, identifying and accessing new resources, developing a home repair or rebuild plan, among other things.
