(Undated)– Burn bans previously in effect for two area counties were allowed to expire today (Thurs. Oct. 31st) thanks to measurable rainfall that occurred late Wednesday and earlier today (Thurs.).
The ban for Osceola county was lifted effective at 1:30 pm this (Thurs.) afternoon; the ban for Emmet county was canceled as of 2:00 pm today (Thurs.). Authorities in those counties urge residents to still use extreme caution, however, if they plan to do any open burning.
Burn bans remain in place for Cherokee, Clay, Lyon, O’Brien, Palo Alto, Plymouth and Sioux counties
