Some Reminders For Election Day Voting

November 02, 2026

(Spirit Lake)– With tomorrow’s (Tues.) mid-term election comes some reminders. Jordan Moyer of the Dickinson County Auditor’s Office says one of those pertains to the polling location for two of the county’s precincts…

“So Arnolds Park and Okoboji, just like the last two elections, you will be voting at the Expo Building this year just north of Hy-Vee. That’s precincts two and five. If you’re not sure what precinct you’re in, make sure to go in either to our website or the Secretary of State’s website to check to see what precinct you’re in.”

Moyer also reminds everyone planning to vote tomorrow (Tues.) you need to do so at you’re respective polling location, NOT at the courthouse…

“I bet you we get probably 50 to 60 people that walk to our office wanting to vote and we try to remind people, hey, just remember, this is not absentee voting any more. This is election day and you have to go to your polling location. And if you did request a mail in ballot, that does need to be brought to our office. If you decide to walk that in, it cannot be dropped off at the polls. Those need to be dropped off by 8:00 pm on Tuesday night.”

Polls statewide in Iowa will be open tomorrow (Tues.) from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. You can also still vote early in person yet today (Mon.) at the Board of Supervisors Room at the Dickinson County Courthouse.
