(Emmetsburg)– Some improvements could be in the offing at a couple of Iowa Lakes Community College locations in Emmetsburg. The college’s Board of Trustees earlier this week voted to proceed with two grant applications through the Palo Alto County Gaming Development Corporation.
Robert Leifeld, Vice President of Administration at Iowa Lakes, says one of the grants would go toward an audio presentation system at the College Farm, while the other would be used for updates at the swimming pool at the Smith Wellness Center.
Leifeld says the grant applications “are essential to enhancing both academic programs and community services.”
