(Algona)– A ban on open burning is now in effect for Kossuth county until further notice. It went into place at 4:00 pm on Thursday.
That leaves Buena Vista, Dickinson and Pocahontas as the only counties in the region without a ban. Even then, officials in those counties highly urge everyone to refrain from any open burning until conditions improve.
