(Undated)– Another red flag warning will be in effect today (Thurs.) for a large part of northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota.
The National Weather Service says it’s due to a very high fire danger stemming from very low humidity, extremely dry vegetation, and wind that could gust as high as 45 mph.
Forecasters say any fires that do get going would likely spready very quickly in those conditions.
Burn bans are in effect for most of northwest Iowa until further notice.
