(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Fall Festival this Saturday, October 19th, at Camp Foster. Morgan Strauss of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says the fun will be going on that day from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm…
“Starting with hayrides going from your parking spot to the top of Camp Foster and then they will have, while supplies last, they are going to have some lunch items for us. There you’ll grab your trick-or-treat bag, you map, and you will head on down to camp for some free, fall, family fun. You’re going to see cookie decorating, you’re going to see candy, ring toss, all of the fun things that have to deal with fall. Maybe even a pumpkin walk. We encourage you to wear costumes so you can get entered in that costume contest here and all the fun things around the area.”
She says there will be 25 stations of various activities and games…
“All you have to do is show up on the 19th. We’ll get you parked and then head on over to there’s a big barndominium that Camp Foster just put up and it’s really a beautiful thing and they just finished their sidewalk as well, so you will be able to take those strollers down, anything like that, that shouldn’t be a problem, either, and head on down to camp for all the fun. We’re going to have some bouncy houses as well and I think even possibly some axe throwing, so that’ll be a fun time there, too.”
S’mores will also be available around the fire pit.
There’s no charge for any of the events, thanks to a number of area businesses.
