“With new developments, new housing developments going in, currently there’s two under construction at this point in time. We have a lot more condos going into our area and we just need it for the population growth in the summertime is increasing every month, every year, so we need the extra patrol.”
He says the current staffing level isn’t sufficient to keep up with what’s going on…
“Currently we have four full-time officers with two shared officers with the city of Okoboji. One of those shared officers is a shared investigator.”
The additional officer will come on board this coming May 1st.
