(Spencer)– Clay county and the city of Spencer are moving ahead with a survey into medical services. The city council voted Monday evening to proceed with the study which has a total cost of $19,000, with the cost being shared 50-50 with the county. Spencer Fire/Rescue Chief Jesse Coulson…
“We’re doing an assessment on our system as a whole in Clay county and the county supervisors are driving that to look at EMS services as a whole in Clay county. What we’ll get back is we’ll pull the curtain back, we’ll take a look at what’s been happening, what could happen, and some opportunities and different avenues to help remedy if there is any deficits in our coverage, in our care, for our citizens throughout the county.”
Coulson says they hope to have the results back by the end of November.
