(Spirit Lake)-A Ribbon Cutting was held at Kiwanis Park in Spirit Lake this week. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis Club held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Kiwanis Park on Thursday morning.
Club President Alissa Holtz says the City of Spirit Lake replaced some outdated equipment. “The old equipment had shown its age and so The City decided to go ahead and replace this and since this is at Kiwanis Park, we like to be involved with helping and being part of the community.”
She adds that the Park typically sees a lot of use. “The City has completely put in a new play system and so it’s amazing. It’s a little bigger than the old one. If you ever drive by here during the day, there’s kids all the time. So, it’s an amazing park.”
Kiwanis Park is located at 1100 23rd Street in Spirit Lake.
