(Spirit Lake)– Another reminder of the Community Health Assessment currently underway in Dickinson County. As we reported previously, the survey is conducted every three years. Katy Carey is the Director of Public Health at Lakes Regional Healthcare…
“So we have every three years the Community Health Assessment where we reach out to the public and we want to hear from you to really here about what are the north star directions that we should be focusing on for the next three years. So the last cycle we heard mental health, dental access and affordable transportation were big. So from that we’ve made a lot of progress in building a coalition, having mental health walks and getting national speakers into the schools and we would love to hear what we can do in the next three years together.”
She adds it’s important residents complete the assessment…
“You high have seen postcards around town that have QR codes that you can just scan with your phone and then hopefully it just takes about five minutes to put in your perspective about what are the three areas that you find that we can make improvements on as well as things that are going well. This is really the catalyst for starting all of the work that we’ll be doing for the next three years and than after that we’ll be having focus groups and then really building our plan.”
