NW Iowa RSVP Program Has New Director

(Emmetsburg)– The Northwest Iowa Retired Senior Volunteer Program, or RSVP, has a new Director. Gabrielle Janssen started in that capacity August 5th and is based out of the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.

Janssen is a recent graduate of Luther College and has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Religion. She is a native of Emmetsburg. Janssen served as a worship technology coordinator for Luther College Ministries and most recently served as Senior Camp Counselor at the Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp.

In her new role, Janssen will oversee a team of volunteer coordinators responsible for RSVP volunteer activities. She will also be responsible for recruiting new volunteers, collaborating with partner volunteer host sites and will oversee the RSVP Literacy Partners program with area schools.

Northwest RSVP serves Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth and Palo Alto counties.
