(Estherville)– The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a traffic stop earlier this month that resulted in the arrest of a Spirit Lake man on multiple drug charges. Authorities say it stems from August 7th when a deputy pulled over a vehicle in the 3500 block of 170th Street for speeding. A deputy reported finding an open container of alcohol in the vehicle along with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
50-year-old Robbie Mitchell was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…1st offense, possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and open container of alcohol as a driver.
The Estherville Police Department assisted on the scene.
