FEMA Extends Deadline For Applications For Flood Damage Assistance

August 20, 2024 Steve Schwaller

(Undated)– Iowans in 15 counties affected by flooding in June now have until October 22 to apply for funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Within our area that includes Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth and Sioux counties.

FEMA says business and home owners affected by the flooding between June 17 and 22 are eligible.

The organization says even though the deadline is extended, the earlier the application, the better.
