(Spencer)– The Spencer Chamber Foundation and its Grant Review Committee have announced the free showers, known as P & S showers behind Casey’s, will no longer be available after 8:00 pm today (Fri.).
In a press release, the committee says that after careful evaluation and consideration of data, they believe the donated funds that had been going toward that could be more effectively used to benefit the area in other ways.
Free showers will still be available at the Spencer Family YMCA. Toiletries are also still available through the Upper Des Moines Opportunity office in Spencer.
The release thanks those who made P & S Showers possible.
