(Pocahontas)– Another northwest Iowa county is eligible for public assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. It was announced over the weekend that Pocahontas county has been added to the list. It stems from weather-related events dating back to June 16th of this year.
Governmental and other public entities that sustained damage can apply for assistance for emergency protective measures and permanent work.
Residents in several area counties are eligible for the Disaster Recovery Temporary Housing Program, which is available to survivors whose homes were heavily damaged, destroyed, or deemed not habitable under the declaration for both FEMA Individual and Public Assistance.
