The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Jan & Dean’s Beach Party featuring Dean Torrence Friday night at the Roof Garden Ballroom.
Torrence says the show includes songs by the iconic duo, as well as numerous hits by the Beach Boys. “We did a lot of recording together. I sang on a lot of their records and they sang on a lot of our records so, we consider it all just one big happy beach family. So, it seemed natural that we would do their songs, too. They do some of our live, as well. So, it’s always worked out. It’s always been fun.”
The Surf Zombies will open the show, which starts at 7:30 Friday night at the Roof Garden.
