(Milford)– The Milford City Council and trustees of Milford Municipal Utilities Monday approved a memorandum of understanding for the re-construction of 13th Street from Highway 71 to the western city limits.
The project, as of now, is scheduled for the 2023 construction season. City officials say it’s important the agreement be put in place as soon as possible, as they want to start ordering materials for the project in advance of a bid being awarded in order to hopefully avoid delays associated with shipping and supply chain issues.
The project will include replacement of infrastructure under the roadway. Some of those materials have lengthy delivery times.
City officials say arrangements are being made to store the items in a proper environment until work on the project gets started next year.
